The fifth ELVIRE project meeting took place on 25th and 26th September in Lisbon. All the partners from participating countries came to Portugal to discuss ELVIRE project, which is based on virtual industrial system for reducing energy consumption and environment pollution.
The participant of the meeting were coordinators of the project R. Bachini and J. P. Sanna from France, the representative of Sweden L. Syrstad, A. Rosendahl and B. Goertz from Germany, D. Hermesse and O. Joskin from Belgium, F. Dotta from Italy, the representatives of BETI V. Karoblienė and J. Strakšaitė (Lithuania) and the organizers of the meeting - Portuguese S. Matias and A. Pascoal. In the meeting there were presented intermediary results of the project, rising problems and future tasks.
At the beginning of the meeting Portuguese A. Pascoal introduced his institution, one of the project partners - Madan Parque. He was talking about its activities, mission, structure and future prospects. Madan Parque is established in the campus of New University of Lisbon and actively cooperates with this university and with other science and business organizations.
Later R. Bachini presented intermediary report of the project. Partners discussed about the problems and possible solutions. The tasks of each country were reviewed. French partners demonstrated the new modules, almost finished virtual e-learning platform and tasks which could be fulfilled on it. Also it was talking about the ulterior stage of the project - examination and evaluation.
At the second day of the meeting traditionally the project was introduced to the media, representatives of education system and business world and also to all interested persons. During the presentation not only the aims, results and ways of application of ELVIRE were represented, but also the virtual platform and the operation principle were demonstrated. This opened the debate which included very interesting questions and useful suggestions to take into consideration before the beginning of the final stage of ELVIRE.
